Welcome

May 29, 2021 update

AS OF TODAY, the state mandate for masks will be lifted for amateur adult sports, regardless if you have gotten the vaccine or not. Please keep in mind this could change at any time by the the Commonwealth, Town of Weymouth or Union Point, as towns and venues to reserve the right to enforce stricter protocols. If you would still like to wear a mask while playing, you are more than welcome to, as long as which ever one you choose does not compromise the safety of any other players. We will be going back to throw ins for the upcoming session.

Modified Rules – PLEASE REMEMBER, THERE IS A RISK IN PLAYING WITH THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. IF YOU ARE NOT COMFORTABLE PLAYING OR ARE HIGH RISK, DO NOT PLAY. PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE WHILE PLAYING TO PREVENT ANY SPREAD OF THIS VIRUS.

  1. IF YOU DO NOT FEEL WELL OR HAVE ANY SYMPTOMS, DO NOT COME! ITS ONLY REC SOCCER.
  2. Teams will line up/get ready on opposite sidelines.
  3. Masks are required on the field of play and cannot be a covering that compromises the safety of other players. Masks ARE required for everyone, even if you have gotten the vaccine… this is a state protocol.
  4. Kick-ins will replace throw-ins. Offside rules WILL apply.
  5. Play smart and safe – this includes, but is not limited to, continually going ‘shoulder to shoulder’ with players and/or marking an opponent when the play is not anywhere near where opposing players are. Referee’s/League Coordinators will have full discretion on what is ‘safe’ play.
  6. Avoid handshakes and any unnecessary touching.
  7. Spectators are allowed at Union Point, but they need to have a mask on as well.
  8. Union Point will have some of their own guidelines to follow, the only different one at this point is that they will have designated places to only enter and exit the field. please respect these for the safety of everyone.

Please reach out with any questions.

Thank you!

APRIL 4, 2021 update

IN COORDINANCE WITH THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS, WE ARE IMPLEMENTING A NEW POLICY EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY.

ANYONE TRAVELING TO MASSACHUSETTS MUST DO ONE OF THE FOLLOWING

  1. MUST SHOW US NEGATIVE COVID-19 RESULT FROM WITHIN 72 HOURS OF ENTERING MASSACHUSETTS
  2. SHOW US PROOF OF BEING FULLY VACCINATED (2 shots from moderna/pzifer, 1 shot from Johnson and Johnson)
  3. IF NEITHER #1 OR #2 ARE PROVIDED, YOU MUST QUARANTINE FOR 10 DAYS AND WILL NOT BE ALLOWED AT THE FIELD AT ALL – THIS IS A STATE REGULATION!

THE RISK AND SERIOUSNESS OF COVID IS VERY HIGH, AND WE ARE GOING TO DO OUR PART TO KEEP EVERYONE AS SAFE AS WE CAN. IF WE FIND OUT A PLAYER HAS NOT FOLLOWED THIS POLICY, LIED, BEEN DECEITFUL, OR NOT FORTHCOMING, ABOUT THEIR TRAVEL AND PUT OTHERS AT RISK, WE WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO TAKE ACTION.

PLEASE USE COMMON SENSE WHEN IT COMES TO THIS. ITS NOT WORTH PUTTING YOUR TEAMMATES AT RISK, ITS ONLY COED REC SOCCER. WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE ANYTIME SOON – THERE WILL BE PLENTY OF SOCCER TO PLAY GOING FORWARD. DO YOUR PART TO KEEP YOURSELF AND EVERYONE ELSE SAFE!

March 13, 2021 UPDATE

SPRING REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED !!!!!

By now we all understand the risks of playing with Covid… If you are uncomfortable playing due to Covid or do not want to play with a mask on… Do not sign up! There will be no refunds issued for anybody who signs up and then decides they do not want to play. We will be following guidelines set by the state, Union Point, and/or ourselves… These are subject to change at any time, these changes could vary and be unknown, but we will do what ever we feel is best to ensure we are as safe and compliant as possible. Overall everybody did a really good last year of following all the rules and guidelines in place… Failure to follow any and all rules, especially with Massachusetts travel restrictions and mask wearing will result in permanent removal from the league.
